🎤 In Conversation with Mo Amer: Humour, Hardships & Home
On Saturday, April 19, join internationally acclaimed Palestinian comedian Mo Amer and Canada’s first hijab-wearing news anchor Ginella Massa at Queen Elizabeth Theatre for a powerful afternoon of stories, laughter, and reflection. Mo shares his journey from growing up as a stateless refugee to becoming the first Palestinian to headline a Netflix special, in an honest conversation about breaking barriers and finding home.
Featuring a live Dabke performance by Al Asala Dabke Group, this event also raises funds for Glia’s medical aid efforts in Palestine, supporting doctors, clinics, and life-saving care. Doors open at 12:30 PM, show starts at 1:30 PM.
